Of course, as in recent hit movies 28 Days Later... and Dawn of the Dead, the last humans may turn out to be as much a danger as the zombies. Forceful scripting that gives the book a strong grounding in reality, crisp b artwork, a shocking final sequence and brisk, gory proceedings elevate this book from the trash heap of pedestrian horror comics. Robert Kirkman

ROBERT KIRKMAN est né en 1978 à Richmond (USA). Il réside en Californie.
Jeune et prolifique, il se fait connaître avec la série Battle Pope qu'il publie lui-même au sein de la structure éditoriale qu'il a créée, Funk-O-Tron. Il s'inspire des films de George Romero pour différents scénarios de comics basés sur des histoires de zombies, dont Walking Dead. En 2010, cette série lui permet de remporter le très prestigieux Eisner Award de la meilleure série à suivre. L'adaptation de Walking Dead pour la télévision par Frank Darabont (The Mist, Les Évadés, La Ligne verte) est un triomphe. Robert Kirkman est totalement impliqué dans l'adaptation télévisée de son oeuvre : il en est le producteur exécutif et le scénariste. Robert Kirkman est également le créateur de nombreuses séries, dont Invincible, Le Maître voleur, Les Gardiens du Globe ,Tech Jacket et Oblivion Song .
